Multi-Agent Coordination and System-Level Controls
Keep the complete chain of agent, tool, orchestrator and system contributions bounded, attributable and controllable.
Coordinate multiple agents as an enterprise system. Examine shared context, permissions, conflicting actions and system-level controls before extending delegated work.
Explore the holistic AIDIVE frameworkWhy it matters
Good component quality cannot prevent every coordination failure. Errors, manipulated context or inappropriate authority can propagate across an agent network.
Govern each material delegation
A child agent receives no implicit authority from being callable. Resolve the authority root, delegator and delegate identities, task and purpose, scope, permissions, human control, expiry and evidence. Re-delegation requires explicit bounded permission.
Validate content and authorize action separately
Inter-agent content may contain directives or corrupted material without authority to change the receiving mandate. Validate message structure, provenance and task continuity; independently enforce identity, purpose, permissions, action limits and required pre-action controls at the execution boundary.
Control the full system
Resolve conflict through approved precedence, deterministic rules, verified evidence or a named human authority. Higher model confidence does not establish authority.
- Limit blast radius through permissions, action limits, isolation and circuit breakers.
- Plan for orchestrator failure, safe degraded operation and human takeover.
- Correlate authority lineage, evidence lineage, handoffs, interventions and outcomes as one unit of work.
Evidence to make visible
- A delegation-chain record with expiry and revocation
- Independent action-boundary enforcement
- System-level trajectories and failure-containment evidence
